Little Celebrations

by Larry E. Quicksall

Make a list of those special days for you and your spouse, and have little celebrations all year long. The dates can be special for just the two of you, or they can be holidays that carry special significance.

For example, my wife and I have several important dates that we at least try to recognize and celebrate: the day we first met, our first date, New Year’s Day (we have black-eyed peas and cabbage for a great new year), when I proposed to her, St. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day (placing flowers on our grandparent’s graves), Father’s Day, our wedding anniversary, as well as birthdays.

Make your list, place it on the calendar, and celebrate all year long with little things that are special! (03/01/2000)
