April is the month that many little neighborhood ice cream stands open for the season. Pick one day this week and take your spouse to visit your favorite stand for a refreshing treat. Or, if you really like ice cream and are feeling a little silly, visit a different ice cream stand every day for a week. In Effingham, we are blessed with three neighborhood stands that I can think of. If you include the Dairy Queen, Steak-n-Shake, and the stands in near-by communities you could have a lot of fun.
